Our team had the opportunity to help the Emmaus Poplar Centre.
Emmaus has been close to our hearts since our inception in 2016, and in addition to a variety of fundraising events over the years – including our annual Royal Parks Half – London team ½ marathons – this hands-on experience was eye-opening.
Emmaus UK combats homelessness by collecting/recycling/upscaling goods, employing its companions in its endeavours, equipping them with new skills, an activity, a roof, and a new social make-up.
We loved the innovative ways they maximize the impact of donations to benefit their 30 Emmaus community and 800+ companions. They stand as a beacon of hope for the local community and countless people.
Truly inspiring, this experience served as a valuable lesson of humility, grounding us in another reality we often pass by. 😊
