Jean-Philippe Verdier

Jean-Philippe Verdier

Managing Partner & Founder

Jean-Philippe founded Verdier & Co. in 2016, having previously worked at Jefferies as Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking France. Prior to Jefferies, Jean-Philippe worked from 1998 until 2010 at BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Greenhill & Co.. With 25+ years of experience in corporate finance, he has successfully executed over 40 transactions with a cumulative value of £20bn / €25bn.

In addition to his professional experience, between 2016-2023 Jean-Philippe had been a member and lastly Chair of the Alumni Council of the London Business School and de-facto Board member of its Governing Body. From 2011 till 2020 he was also Co-Chair of the Sustainability and Climate Change think-tank of the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.

Jean-Philippe holds an MSc in Business & Management from Neoma Business School and an MSc in Strategy & Leadership as a Sloan Fellow from London Business School. He speaks French, English and Spanish.

Chief Operating Officer

Isabelle joined Verdier & Co. in 2022, having previously worked in client relationship and account management, risk analysis, financial reporting, product development, pricing and operations at Credit Agricole CIB. Prior to Credit Agricole CIB, Isabelle worked at Pernod Ricard Winemaking, BCD Travel and various non-profit organisations.

Isabelle holds an MSc in Business & Management from SKEMA Business School. She speaks French and English.

Oriol Parache

Vice President

Oriol joined Verdier & Co. in 2024, bringing over 13 years of M&A, transaction services and financial audit experience.

Prior to Verdier & Co., Oriol held roles at Seabury Securities and EY, where he advised on M&A, leveraged buyout, and equity and debt capital raise transactions across various sectors. Earlier in his career, Oriol worked as a Senior Consultant at PwC’s Transaction Services team, providing financial due diligence support in the context of M&A and capital raise transactions. Oriol started his career as a financial auditor.

Oriol holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Catalan, and business proficient in French.

Jordi Mirabet Bonet

Jordi joined Verdier & Co. in 2020, having previously worked in audit at a Spanish accountancy and business advisory firm, where he mainly catered to international corporate clients. Prior to this, Jordi worked in their corporate finance division, with a primary focus on TMT clientele.

Jordi is an Associate Member at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) and holds an MSc in Finance from University College London. He speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.

Filippo joined Verdier & Co. in 2021, having previously worked in research and analysis at a French alternative asset management firm. Prior to this, Filippo worked at EY’s technology advisory division in Italy.

Filippo is an Associate Member at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) and holds an MSc in Management from London Business School. He speaks Italian, English and French.

Matthew joined Verdier & Co. in 2023, having previously worked in consumer M&A at Piper Sandler, covering the food and beverage sector. Prior to this, Matthew worked at an accounting firm in Hong Kong in their audit division.

Matthew holds an MSc in Finance from Imperial College London and a BSc in Economics from University of Manchester. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Thomas joined Verdier & Co. at the end of October 2024. Prior to Verdier & Co. Thomas worked at Amazon Web Services for a year, and as the head of product at Sillo – a mobile application aimed at helping members, within various organizations, to get to know one another more confidently through initial anonymous conversations.

Thomas obtained his BA Economics from the University of California, Berkeley; before spending a year in Michigan where he co-founded a sustainable rideshare start-up called Vroomi that aimed to fill empty seats in food-delivery vehicles.

He speaks English and French.

Gracia Amico

Chairwoman

Gracia has over 20 years of experience in strategy, e-commerce, and digital sectors for corporate and private equity firms. She has since held key roles, including CEO of Petspyjamas, e-commerce Director at Hobbs, and led the e-commerce divisions for Topman and Burberry. Gracia also served as Head of Digital Operations at private equity firm, Sun Capital, and currently holds chair and advisory roles in various B2B and B2C companies.

She was recognised in the Retail Week Power List in 2015 and 2016, and a recipient of the 2018 Equality Impact Award.

Gracia has been a Senior Adviser at Verdier & Co. since 2021 and became Chairwoman in 2022, enhancing the firm’s strategic direction and scaled business operations.

Sir Andrew Likierman

Sir Andrew Likierman, with a distinguished career in academia and corporate governance, holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University. He has been a tenured Professor of Finance, Accounting, and Management at the London Business School, where he also pioneered its Executive-MBA program and served as Dean from 2008 to 2017. Sir Andrew’s contributions extend to thought leadership in governance, evident in his publications on human and professional judgment in Harvard Business Review, with the Chartered Governance Institute, and the Financial Reporting Council. A book is slated for release in 2024.

In the corporate sector, Sir Andrew’s extensive board experience includes roles as Senior Independent Director at Times Newspapers, Chairman of Mori, Director at Barclays Bank plc, and Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at the Bank of England. Additionally, he worked in the UK Cabinet Office, was Chair of the National Audit Office and Deputy Chair of Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. He is currently Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at Monument Bank.

Sir Andrew has been a Senior Adviser at Verdier & Co. since 2023, strengthening the firm’s operational capabilities and corporate governance.

Sir Andrew Likierman

Tom Drury

Tom brings over 30 years of leadership experience, spanning from Finance Director to CEO and Chairman, across various industries and scales, from small private to large public companies.

 

Recently, he was Chairman at Agilisys and CEO of FTSE 250 firms Arrow Global plc and Shanks Group plc. He’s also served on the boards of United Utilities plc and CBI’s Public Sector Strategy Board. Notably, Tom led significant capital market activities like IPOs, right issuances, bid defences and bond issuances.

 

Tom has been a Senior Adviser at Verdier & Co. since 2017, focusing on strategic decision-making, change management, and accelerated growth.

She has a strong track record in operational management, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and financial performance, serving as divisional SVP, CEO, non-executive director, and chairwoman in multinational companies. Her expertise includes streamlining and unifying complex international businesses.

She joined Verdier & Co. as a Senior Adviser in 2017, bringing her vast experience to bear on the firm’s strategic decisions, long-term vision, and senior recruitments. Her insights have been crucial in bolstering Verdier & Co.’s position in the renewable and sustainable energy sectors.

With an extensive 35-year career in investment banking across the USA, Continental Europe, and the UK, our senior adviser has held influential roles including Head of European Equity Capital Markets, Global Head of Technology Investment Banking, Head of IB Corporate Coverage for Europe, CEO, and Chairman of prominent European and US investment banks.

His leadership spans beyond banking, including chairing various companies and advising on growth strategies, capital formation, and governance for businesses and charities.

He joined Verdier & Co. as a Senior Adviser in 2017, playing a key role in shaping the firm’s strategy for developing a distinct corporate finance and investment banking platform.
